Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! My name is Lindsey Sullivan and I am a high school, social studies teacher. I currently teach American History, World Geography, and Behavioral Science to grades 9-12. I just completed my first year teaching and am eager to begin my second. I have really enjoyed my experiences teaching thus far and look forward to what another year will bring me!

In addition to my teaching, I coach cheerleading for the high school I work at. I began coaching when I graduated and have been at the high school ever since...I'm even teaching there! This will be my 7th year coaching and I couldn't think of a better way to spend some of my extra time.

This blog was created for one of my graduate courses, but I intend to keep with this process and hopefully use it this upcoming school year in my behavioral science class. I am always looking for new, creative ways to involve technology into my classroom and I couldn't think of a better way than to have my students utilize a teacher's blog and create one on their own as well. Enjoy my posts to come.

  1. Great little blog Ms. Sullivan! Being a cheerleading coach is a tough job--a year around coaching position that usually involves plenty of drama! Bless you for being a cheerleading coach--I could NEVER do it!

  2. I have the MOST respect for you to be able to coach highschool cheerleading! I was asked to sponsor that and dance next year and give the girls "ideas" on their routines....lol...I have two left feet so I had to decline! I'm sure it is a fun thing to do as an extra source of income!

  3. Lindsey,
I enjoyed reading a bit more about you on your blog. Congratulations on completing your first year of teaching. This is a milestone to treasure. Your methodology, confidence, and interaction with the students will only increase with time. Good luck with your plans to utilize your blog with your future students. I’m sure it will be a form of communication with which they will be very comfortable and thankful to use.

  4. Lindsey,

Nice blog page so far. Your students will be excited to follow it and create their own. I'll bet you have great stories to tell about being a student and teacher at the same high school.
